Had A Big Day!!

Man....what a day!! Had both of the girls home today. Chloe was recovering from a bout of gastro from Yesterday and Pheobe was having an issue with the temp kindergarten teacher and refused to go!!

After months and months of tantrums, screaming, crying etc, Chloe and I decided that it was time for her beautiful long locks to go. It was bitter/sweet for me. I knew that life was going to be a whole lot easier once Chloe had her hair cut short, but I just loved her beautiful long hair!! Anyhoo, this was Chloe this morning.

And this part brought me to tears!! :(

Chloe couldn't wipe the smile off her face while the hairdresser made the finishing touches to her new do!! She couldn't believe how light her hair felt and we were both really happy with how the cut turned out!!

And she was even happier with her new do once Mum got her home and did a little styling.

And then to commemorate the occasion, we had a little photo shoot!!

But the day didn't end there!! A little later we had a shoot with the adorable Mr J. Note to self.....handing child TimTam before the shoot is probably not the best idea......it did make him happy though....lol!!

And I finished the day with a family shoot for Miss I's Reconciliation night. I haven't finished proofing yet, but I'll post the pics tomorrow.....right now, I need sleep!!!

We had such a fabulous day on Saturday! We went to the Children's Character Carnival. The girls watched Dorothy the Dinosaur and Captain Feathersword dance and sing on the stage, cuddled the animals at Farmer Daryl's petting Zoo, had their faces painted and their hair sprayed. Then we spent a relaxing afternoon at Uncle Em's!

Pheobe's Photo Shoot

I know, I know......I'm going nuts with the posts today, but I've just got so much stuff to share!!

We had the strangest day Yesterday. I picked Pheobe up from Kinder and the sun was shining. I've been wanting to get some practice in with shooting is full sunlight, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do it. I got Phebs out in the backyard and the cape weed was in flower. So I taught her how to make daisy chains.....just like I used to do in the paddocks when I was a girl. She loved it and I set about snapping away!!

I got some fabulous shots and she had a ball....especially decorating the furbabies!!

As you can see, they didn't mind all the attention!! And have you ever heard the saying, "Never work with Children or Animals"? Well this is why!!

Anyway, we just finished and it started to pour down with rain. I couldn't believe it!! We all raced inside before we got drenched. By the time we went to pick Chloe up from school it was freezing and it started to HAIL!! Seriously, we waited in the car for Chloe to come out and watched ice bounce off the windshield!! And low and behold, we got home and out came the sunshine again.......like I said....weird day!!

I finally had a bit of time this week to drag out the camera.....my poor little baby has been gathering cobwebs of late. I asked Pheobe if she would like Mummy to take her photo, and she seemed quite excited about it. So off I went to set up the shoot and then low and behold, she decides that she's going to make Mummy work for it!! Pfft, despite her grumpy mood and unco-operative behaviour, I still managed to get some good shots!!

And this is about my fav photo so far this year....I know I'm her Mum and I'm biased, but my gosh.......she's so darn adorable!! :)

And just a little extra........Miss N stopped by for a visit today in the cutest little skirt, so I quickly got a shot. I tried something a little different than my usual with this one and I am really pleased with how it turned out.

Today has just been one of those days that you just LOVE!! A pretty ordinary Sunday.....Mum came for a visit this morning and we sat around drinking coffee and catching up. We had a lazy lunch and the girls played XBOX for a while. Then we decided it was time for some fresh air. After all of the rain (yes it has actually been raining in Bendigo!!) today was sunny, still cool, but beautifully sunny!! We went for a walk down to the corner store and treated ourselves to cola chuppa chups and then headed to the local park. We are pretty new to the area, only been living in this street for a few months. Pheobe and I have visited the park a few times, but I've never really taken much notice of anything other than the playground. The girls went straight over to the swings and the seesaw and were playing happily, so I started to explore a little. I was pleasantly surprised to find a freestanding wall in the middle of the park that had been provided for the local kids to paint with graffiti. I can't believe that I hadn't noticed it before, it looked fantastic. So of course, I had to make the most of it....lol!! I called the kids on over and took some shots! Here are my fav ones for the day!!

So all-in-all, a pretty great day!! TFL!!

Baby Sitting

I had a really fun night last night. We were babysitting by niece Ashlee for the night. The girls all had so much fun together and they were actually really well behaved....now that makes a change....lol!! This morning I took Ashlee & Phebs to playgroup, and when we got home, I decided to take some pics. I still had everything set up from yesterday's shoot, so it was very quick and easy! Poor Ash has had a really bad cold, so her lips were a bit dry nd her poor little nose was all red....but she still looks gorgeous, don't ya think??

Ok, so I know that I've been a bad blogger lately.....the site has been taking up a lot of my time, and with the Grand Opening creeping ever closer, things are even more hectic!!

So 1st off, I have some Digiridoo news. The awesome Design Team has come together for the very 1st time to create this amazing collab kit......Spice of Life. So, lots of exciting stuff happening!!

And here's a bit on the personal side of things. I got my new camera this week and have been trying really hard to learn the ins and outs of using it. It's my 1st DSLR and I have decided that I will not use the auto setting, I have a perfectly good point and shoot camera that I can do that with. Unfortunately, it's not going quite as well as I envisioned it. I think some part of me thought that I would pick up my new toy and instantly become a professional photographer....lol. Needless to say, I have been a little disapointed with myself. Today I went out to the Botanic Gardens with Mum and the girls to take some pics. I ended up taking over 600 photos for the day and ended up with around 100 that were ok and about 5 that I really liked........but still, I am improving. I have started to get my head around the ISO, Apt and Shutter speed balance......so things can only get better....right??

Anyhoo.....here's a few that I actually liked!!

How about this for some exciting news!!! My lovely mother (Maz111), her partner Bruce and I are starting up our very own Digi Scrap Site!! Digi-ridoo Scraps. Yep, we had to have a little Aussie in there!! We have talked about this together many times, but now it has become a reality and I can't tell you how excited we all are!! We're bringing with us some of our SnS family, an awesome bunch of gals that I'm sure you will all recognise. But we are also looking for some quality Designers and talented Creative team members to become a part of our new venture (be sure to check out our DT & CT Calls below!!). We have a whole heap of fun and exciting stuff lined up for you all and our Grand Opening is sure to be something that you won't want to miss!!

Right now I'm busily working on setting up the site, which is a challenge in itself!! Thankgoodness I've been lucky enough to have a wonderful little I.T. ANGEL answering all of my silly questions and helping me every step of the way!! Thanks Sz.....you rock girl!!!

Poor Mum and Bruce have given up most of Mum's week off to constantly meet with me to nut out all of the details of the new site.......not to mention the constant emails & phone calls (I so don't want to see what my bills will be like next month....lol!!

Hi everyone. I'm sorry to say, that due to the technical difficulties that the Snap and Scrap site is currently experiencing, the December Cyber Crop has been postponed until next weekend. My favorite Christmas Tradition is the making of the Cox family Christmas Pudding. As children, my brother and I hated Christmas Pudding. It was always so heavy, dark and icky. Then my wonderful mother came up with an amazing recipe that we just adored (to this day it is the ONLY Christmas Pudding I will eat). Every year Mum would get all of the ingredients together and my brother and I would help her mix it up. Now we are all grown up and have children of our own. So every year, a few weeks before Christmas, Mum picks up my 2 girls and takes them to her house for a sleep over, where the main event is making Christmas Puddings!! I just love that she has carried on this fun tradition with my kids too!!

A GOODBYE AND A WELCOME

Due to spending the better part of last week in hospital with my little dd Pheobe (she's all better now), this is probably a little late coming!! Vanessa (aka Unica) has said goodbye and is no longer on my CT. Sad for me, but fabulous for her. She has taken the plunge into designing and believe me, this girl has got the goods!! Well, once again I have 2 vacant places on my CT that need to be filled. Some of you would know that I have put out several CT calls this year and I'm getting a little bored with the whole process...lol!! So I've decided to make it a little more fun this time round. If you are interested in getting a place on my CT and having full access to all of my designs, this is what you need to do:-

1. Create a layout using at least 75% my products. You can grab my kits at the ScrapMatters.com shop or you can use any of my freebies available here on my blog!!

2. Send the gallery link to breezas28@hotmail.com before Wednesday 24th September.

On the 24th I will post all of the entries here on my Blog and you can all vote for your favorites!! The 2 layouts with the highest votes will win a place on my CT.

But that's not where the fun ends.......the 3 runners up will each recieve a $5 GC to use in my store!! AND EVERYONE who participates following the above 2 guidelines, will receive a $2 GC to my store (and yes I do have products for $2 and under available for purchase, just in case you were wondering....lol).

There, now that's a bit more fun than my usual CT calls!!

We've moved!!!! Snap and Scrap.....new domain

If you've been trying to stop by Snap and Scrap this week, you may have noticed that the site has been down. Due to some rather major technical difficulties, the site has been down and it has resulted in us having to move to a new domain. Gill has been working round the clock to try and get us back online at OUR NEW ADDRESS http://www.snapandscrap.tv. All of our email addresses have been changed to the .tv extension aswell. Please update your bookmarks and contacts accordingly. There may be some gremlins still lurking on the new site, but we hope to have those nabbed asap! In the meantime, we're getting our scrap back on!

On a completely different subject, today I participated in my 1st ever Speed Scrap. I can't believe that I've never heard of this before. It was so much fun!! One thing I do miss about paper scrapping is the Friday night scrap-a-thons at the local scrap store.....the speed scrap was just like that, only better and for digi scrappers....you even get a fabulous freebie if you get your page finished and uploaded in the allocated time!! I highly recommend that you go and check it out in the ScrapMatters forums. I'm already looking forward to next week's one!!

HIP HIP ZOO-RAY!!

Yesterday morning I roused the girls up at 6am (still pitch black) and got them ready for the fun day ahead. Along with Nanny Maz we boarded the train headed for Melbourne. It was my youngest dd's 1st ever train trip and she spent almost the whole trip standing up looking out the window! We spent the whole day walking around the Royal Melbourne Zoo. It was the 1st time my girls had ever been and the 1st time Mum and I had been since I was a little girl. It was fabulous!! The highlights for me were the big cats (my favs), seeing Chloe & Phebs' faces when a HUGE male lion walked right up to them (about 1 metre away), the giraffes, getting up close and personal with an enormous silver-back (I had no idea how big they really are) and watching the girls experience the zoo for the very 1st time. The low points.....a few incidents of moddiness from the kids, trying to get good shots through plexiglass and chainlink, feeling like I was going to pass-out in the humidity of the butterfly enclosure and the trip home on an overcrowded train (poor Mum had to stand for nearly 30 mins before there was a seat available....and yes, I did offer her mine several times but I had Phebs asleep on my lap and Chloe asleep on the floor next to me)!! All in all we had a fabulous day....a great way to end the School Holidays!!

Well, I'm sorry to say goodbye to 2 members of my CT.

Shannon (Shanarama) and her family are in the process of moving from Florida to the UK. Shannon is one of my original Scrap'it Girls.

Nikki is also leaving the team due to family commitments.

I wish you both all the best!!

As I am now 2 members short, I am putting out yet another CT call!

The call will end on 30th July and I will announce the new members shortly afterwards.

COOL CHANGE

I just can't believe how quickly this week has flown by! We followed the usual routine, grocery shopping Tuesday, Playgroup Wednesday and a full day of designing today, but it all seems a bit of a blur. Tomorrow is the last day of school for Chloe, next week starts 2 weeks of school holidays and I still haven't planned anything for the break yet!! I had better get my butt into gear and get organized!!

Things have just begun to get decidedly chilly in my part of the world. So this week I decided that some cool colours were in order to match the temperature! I've just finished a new kit called 'Cool Change'.
